Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate is a kind of lightweight porous ceramic particles fired by high-temperature expansion work, with clay or shale, industrial solid waste (such as sludge, fly ash) and other plastic materials as the main raw materials.

LECA Rotary Kiln Working Principle

The working principle of lightweight expanded clay aggregate rotary kiln is that clay and other raw materials are fed into the rotary kiln after crushing and screening, and then go through the preheating section (200-600℃), expansion section (1100-1200℃) and cooling section in turn. The core expansion section gasifies the volatile components in the clay to form a closed-pore structure through high-temperature calcination, and the porous lightweight aggregate is finally obtained after cooling. The kiln head is equipped with burners for precise temperature control, and a dust removal system is set up at the end of the kiln to deal with the exhaust gas, realizing continuous production.
